The Pale Blue Dot

On February 14, 1990, Voyager 1 turned its camera back toward Earth from 6 billion km away. Earth appeared as a tiny pale blue dot — 0.12 pixels across. Carl Sagan's speech about it became one of the most celebrated passages in science.
