The Milky Way Will Collide With Andromeda

Our galaxy and Andromeda are hurtling toward each other at 110 km/s. In about 4.5 billion years they will merge into a giant elliptical galaxy nicknamed "Milkomeda". Stars are so sparse actual stellar collisions are very unlikely.
